You can run a technically flawless ad campaign and still get poor results if the landing page undoes all that work. These are the five mistakes I see most often when auditing new accounts.

1. Sending traffic to the homepage

A homepage is built to serve everyone. A landing page should be built to serve exactly the person who clicked that specific ad — with the same offer, the same language, and nothing else competing for attention.

2. No single, clear call to action

A page with a form, a phone number, three menu links and a chat widget forces the visitor to choose. Every extra choice is a chance to leave without converting at all.

3. Slow load time on mobile

Most PPC traffic in India is mobile-first. A few extra seconds of load time can quietly kill conversion rate before the visitor ever sees your offer.

4. Message mismatch

If the ad says "Free consultation" and the page opens on pricing plans, the visitor feels misled — even unintentionally — and bounces immediately.

5. No trust signals near the form

Reviews, certifications, or a simple "who this is for" line placed right next to the form measurably reduce hesitation at the exact moment someone is deciding whether to submit it.

Where to start

Fixing even two or three of these on an underperforming page is often enough to move cost per lead more than any bid adjustment would. Start with message mismatch and the single CTA — they're usually the fastest wins.
